Union swears in four new police officers!

Four New Police Officers

This past Thursday at Town hall, the Township of Union Police Department swore in four new police officers.

“Having these new additions to our Union family is amazing. We cannot wait to see all the great things these four new officers will do for the community,” said Michele Delisfort, Mayor.

The officers that were sworn in were:

  • Jessica Da-Silva Rocha
  • Thyago O. Morais
  • Edherson Thalout
  • Jennifer Long

The new officers will be entering the John H. Police Academy later this week, where they will begin their training. There the officers will be receiving the finest training with state of the art equipment.

Upon completion of the Academy, the new officers will be working with the Union Police Department to continue to keep the streets of Union safe.

The Township of Union maintains one of the lowest incident rates in the County and was recently named the 43rd best place to live in America according to Money Magazine who made note of the Township’s “ultra-low crime risk.”
