  •  All award amounts have been increased from $2,500 to $5,000, for both existing and future applicants; 
  •  Home-based businesses are now eligible.

The changes were made in order to continue to support the small business community and in an effort to allow more time for participants to submit their applications. 

The program is designed to provide broad access to much-needed working capital to small businesses within the Township of Union.  The proposed grant program is designed with a simple and non-complex application process with a quick turn-around (after completing the application requirements) response. There will be no collateral requirements and no processing or application fees.

For purposes of the grant program: “working capital” will be defined as any direct operating expense associated with operating a small business within the Township of Union.

  • Inventory
  • Utilities
  • Marketing
  • Unexpected COVID-19 related expenses

“Small Business” will be defined as any business with 30 Full Time (F/T) employees (Equivalents) or less.
