9.10 Remembrance Ceremony
7pm in front of Town Hall, 1976 Morris Ave.
This remembrance ceremony is in honor of the victims of September 11, in addition to the nine local Union families of 9.11 victims. The ceremony will include guest speakers, a local community choir, and a wreath presentation. All are welcome to attend.
The ceremony will be live-streamed on local channel 34.
Saturday, September 11th Ceremony
8:15am in front of Fire headquarters, located at 1 Bond Drive
The intent of this ceremony, hosted by our Union Fire Department, is to participate in and conduct a single nationwide salute to fallen firefighters, law enforcement, and civilians.
The event will be coordinated to occur at the exact moment the World Trade Center events occurred and will be marked by a series of two bell chimes - one for each of the towers whose collapse took countless lives, followed by the reading of the names of the service members whose lives were lost that day.
Freedom Bike Ride
This ride is a roundtrip beginning in front of Fire Headquarters, located at 1 Bond Drive, to the Echo Lake Park Memorial Site in Mountainside. Please note that this is hilly terrain and an intermediate route and is not a race but a group ride.

There will be a water station at the beginning and middle of the route.
The route is fully supported by police, motorcycles, and medical help. Approved helmets required. Riders must obey all traffic laws.
