In 2008, the Township of Union placed a Train Shuttle service beginning at Hendrix Drive and ending at Union Train Station. Our attempt was to remove vehicle traffic from local streets during peak hours. Today, four years later, our service has grown to multiple stops and increased ridership by three folds. Our service is free of charge, and while economic times are hard, we continue to strive to provide this service at no charge to our residents.
The Transportation Division is located at Public Works Complex. The garage provides the Township’s vehicle and equipment fleet of 250 pieces of equipment with high-quality maintenance and repairs. Through Annual Inspections and preventive maintenance inspections vehicles are kept to D.O.T. Standards.
