[ARCHIVED] Master Plan Community Meetings

The Township of Union is pleased to announce that they are kicking off its Master Plan Community Meetings with four public meetings throughout September and October.

            “The Master Plan is an effort to update the community’s vision for Union,” stated Mayor Michele Delisfort. “These meetings are designed in an open house format, welcoming our entire community and ensuring that all voices are being heard.”

The meetings schedule is as follows:

  • Union Senior Center, 968 Bonnel Court Union, NJ on September 9th at 10 am
  • Crossroads Church, 2815 Morris Ave. Union, NJ on October 1st at 7 pm
  • Donald M. Payne Vauxhall Meeting Center, 333 Russell St. Vauxhall, NJ on October 23rd at 7 pm
  • YMCA 5 Points Branch, 201 Tucker Ave. Union, NJ on October 29th at 7 pm

            “These Master Plan Community Meetings are an opportunity for residents and business owners to learn about the Master Plan process and provide feedback.” said Debbie Lawlor FAICP, PP from Master Consulting P.A., “Our team will explain the Master Plan process, the elements of the Master Plan that are being prepared, and our anticipated timeline.”

            Each meeting location will have tables with a planner/municipal rep. available to take input on several designated topics per table. Topics at tables will likely include: Land Use/Housing; Economic Development; Parking/Circulation; Community Facilities/Stormwater Management; Parks, Recreation and Open Space/Sustainability.  

            The public is encouraged to stop by and share their opinions, concerns, and desires for the Township of Union.
