This past Sunday, the Township of Union celebrated their 4th Annual Hispanic Heritage Month Fiesta and awarded Oscar Vera and Claudia Alzante, husband and wife owners of Gusto y Sabor Colombiano, the Hispano of the Year award. This award is given annually to a resident or business owner in town who dedicates themselves to the empowerment of the Hispanic community.
“Oscar and Claudia’s dedication to Union and their advocacy on behalf of the Hispanic Community makes them the perfect family for this award and we are truly honored to have someone like them as a business owner here in our Township and Center. They are truly an inspiration,” said Mayor Michele Delisfort.
Since 2008, Oscar and Claudia have provided the community with a staple of fresh, quality food and supplemented this with their continuous participation in Township and Union Center events such as our Hispanic Heritage fiesta.
Gusto y Sabor Colombiano Restuarant in Union is located at 2022C Morris Avenue. For more information on Oscar and Claudia or their business, please contact 908.686.6380 or visit www.gustoysabornj.com.
