The Union Special Improvement District invites you to Shop Local, Eat Local on Saturday, November 30th from noon to 3 pm. This event is held in conjunction with Small Business Saturday, a national event that was created by American Express. Small Business Saturday encourages holiday shoppers to visit brick and mortar businesses that are small and local. SID’s Shop Local, Eat Local event aims to do this for the many unique and independently-owned businesses in the Center.
There will be a Welcome Station as well as several Grand Opening celebrations throughout the day. In addition, during the month of November, there will be donation bins outside of various businesses in the Center where patrons can drop off non-perishable food items which will be donated to the Union Food Pantry. In return, they will receive a gift card that can be used at any of the participating businesses.
