We are proud to present an MLK “I Have a Dream” Community Celebration on Jan. 20 at 12:30pm, featuring a diverse ensemble of local children to perform a reading of Dr. King’s iconic “I Have a Dream” speech in honor of the life and legacy of Dr. King.
“Dr. King believed in a nation of freedom and justice for all,” stated Mayor Michele Delisfort, “I’m excited that the Township is bringing this day of service to our community.”
In lieu of the annual United Community Center’s Celebration at Hannah Caldwell, the Township of Union will host this year’s Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration.
The MLK Celebration will also feature a performance by the Vauxhall Community Choir and individual readings by local students on how Dr. King has impacted their lives.
