[ARCHIVED] TOWNSHIP OF UNION P.A.L. ANNOUNCES INTRO TO TAEKWONDO AND BOXING CLASSES

The Township of Union Police Activities League (P.A.L.) is happy to announce both an Intro to Taekwondo and a Boxing class, both for boys and girls in grades three through eight. This is the second time the P.A.L. is sponsoring a Taekwondo class after the last session was met with positive reviews from both participants and parents alike.

“We are so lucky to have a P.A.L. that invests in children’s activities that are not only fun and exciting, but also encourage healthy mindsets and discipline,” said Manny Figueiredo, Mayor. “As these classes continue to grow and as participation increases, it is my hope that our P.A.L. will continue to add more workshops for the youth of our town.”

Information for both workshops can be found below:

Intro to Taekwondo: in a partnership with Invictus Taekwondo (2191 Morris Avenue, Union). Classes are held at 5:30 p.m. on Fridays on March 24 and 31, and April 7 and 14. 15 kids per class will be able to partake.

Boxing: in a partnership with X-Fit Boxing (2171 Morris Avenue, Union). Classes are held at 6 p.m. on Tuesdays on March 21 and 28, and April 4 and 11. 15 kids per class will be able to partake.

The cost for one workshop is $60 and $120 for both workshops. Both classes will teach students a variety of important skills, such as focus, concentration, courtesy, respect, self-control, and perseverance.
