Please help our Fire Department by clearing the area around your adjacent fire hydrants.
After each snowfall, and clear a path approximately 3 feet around the hydrant and shovel a path from the street to the hydrant.
During a fire, the Fire Department must quickly locate and gain a water supply from the closest hydrant. As time is of the essence when there is a fire, buried hydrants can cause dangerous delays for firefighter and all those involved. By keeping a hydrant clear from snow, you stand side-by-side with your local firefighter in protecting your neighbors and your family.
