The Township of Union Recreation Department is proud to announce the return of its Recreation Opportunities for Individuals with Disabilities Program (R.O.I.D.).
The goal of this grant funded program is to provide inclusive recreational activities between general education students and special needs students while building social skills in a variety of leisure settings.
In the past, the R.O.I.D. program has consisted of two major components: arts and crafts and physical fitness. In an attempt to ever evolve, the 2016 program will add a third music component.
The program will consist of three days of programming per week and will grow in size to accommodate 30 students.
The program is free for registrants and is available on a first come first served basis. The program is limited to Union Residents in grades 1-4. Registration forms and information can be found under the “Recreation” tab on our website at www.uniontownship.com.
Any questions about the program, please call the Union Recreation Department at (908) 686-4200. Space is limited so register today.
