In an effort to get children and families to enjoy the outdoors and explore the town, The Mayor and Committee of the Township of Union, through their Department of Recreation, have launched their first-ever KIDventure passport book program.

The seasonal book features a selection of Township activities, sports and businesses that families can visit, earning a KIDventure sticker for their book at each location.

Each place visited and every sticker earned brings them one step closer to being entered to a drawing for a prize pack featuring free dance and Taekwondo lessons, free passes to the Union Theater and coupons and gift cards to their favorite restaurants around town.

The first KIDventure activity begins on April 23rd with the We Are Union K-4 Field day at Union High School, and also features events like concerts, movies, the Memorial Day Parade, and National Night Out, among others. Participating Businesses include Strawberry Fields, Amazing Heroes, Union’s United Taekwondo Academy, Academy of Dance, Gym for Kids, Tiff’s Burger and Alehouse, Cioffi’s and the Union Theaters.

Passport books will be available to the first 1000 participants and can be obtained at all events, at Town Hall and at the Department of Recreation. They are free of charge.

The inaugural book features spring/summer activities and will be valid until August 4th after which they can be turned in to be entered in for the prize-pack raffle. In order to qualify, participants must acquire more than 30 stickers.

Those amassing between 10 and 29 stickers will also be eligible for smaller prizes.
