[ARCHIVED] "Best Burger Spot in Union" Contest

The annual “Best of” competition is returning to the Township of Union. This year, the goal of the contest is to find the best burger spot in the Township.

“Union is home to a wide and diverse array of cuisine,” said Mayor Manuel Figueiredo. “the ‘Best of’ competition features a different Union staple every year.”

Last year, the search was for Union’s best cold and hot sub shops. Over 600 people voted earning Mr. Sub the top spot for best cold sub and Padonno’s Pizza 1st place for best hot sub. Both businesses are on Chestnut Street.

This year, over 20 locations throughout the township are going toe to toe to be awarded Best Burger Spot in Union. Among the competitors are Tiff’s Burger and Ale House, Joes Place, and Cioffi’s Boardwalk. Padonno’s Pizza is also among the competitors trying to win “Best of” for two years in a row.

A full list of competitors can be found on The winners will be announced on Union TV 34 in September on a special episode of Wining and Dining.

“We encourage all residents to try a few of these amazing burger spots and join in the fun by casting their vote,” Figueiredo said.

To cast your vote visit or Votes can also be cast on the Township of Union Mobile App by navigating to the “Form Center” and clicking on “Union TV 34.” Votes can be cast from August 1st to August 22nd.

Residents can take photos at their favorite spot, post to Instagram with the hashtag #UnionLovesBurgers for a chance to be featured on the show.
