The Union Municipal Band, under the direction Dr. John Bunnell will present a free concert on Monday evening, November 14, 2016. The concert will be held at Hannah Caldwell School Auditorium, 1120 Commerce Avenue, Union, NJ at 7:30 PM. Admission is free and the public is cordially invited to attend. This autumn concert will feature music from the Broadway stage, Big Band era, dance favorites and concert classics.
The concert will include the following selections:
God Bless America, The New Colonial March, Morning, Noon and Night in Vienna, Scarlet Ribbons For Her Hair, Selections from “The Phantom of the Opera” and The Music Man as well as a swing number entitled “Big Band Signatures” featuring the music of several Big Band leaders such as Benny Goodman, Les Brown, Woody Herman, Count Basie, Duke Ellington and Glen Miller.
