[ARCHIVED] Snow Emergency in advance of the coming snow storm.

Good afternoon residents, this is Mayor Suzette Cavadas calling to advise you that we are declaring a Snow Emergency in advance of the coming snow storm.

As such, to help our First Responders and DPW with snow removal please have your vehicles off the streets by 9:00 p.m. this evening. Should your vehicle not be moved by that time, you will be ticketed and/or towed. Our area is estimated to get a range of 12-18 inches of snow and every vehicle must be off the street to ensure a timely clean-up operation.

Several municipal parking lots have been made available for your convenience.

Also don’t forget to be a good neighbor and bring in your pets and check on the elderly in the event of an emergency.

Information on the locations of available parking lots as well as information on power outage reporting and other emergency information can be found on our website- uniontownship.com, under the “Winter Weather” link.

Garbage collection for Tuesday, March 14th and Recycling collection Wednesday, March 15th have been suspended, and the Township Committee Meeting for Tuesday, March 14th at 7:30 p.m. has been postponed.
