The Township of Union Recreation Department will host its second Movie under the Stars of the season, on Friday, September 22nd as a part of Mayor’s Weekend and will feature a screening of the Disney hit Moana.
Held at Rabkin Park, the Movies under the Stars draw residents from the far reaches of town, and provide a one of a kind source of family entertainment.
“We are so excited to provide families another reason to enjoy the outdoors,” said Mayor Suzette Cavadas. “This event is a great opportunity to gather with family and friends and enjoy the last bits of warm weather.”
The first movie of the season Sing, was be held on Friday, June 16th and featured a pre-movie performance by the Play Theater Kids Cabaret.
Moana, tells the story of the strong-willed daughter of a chief of a Polynesian village, who is chosen by the ocean itself to reunite a mystical relic with a goddess. When a blight strikes her island, Moana sets sail in search of Maui, a legendary demigod, in the hope of saving her people.
Pre-movie entertainment will begin at 6:00 p.m. with the movie beginning at 7:30 p.m. The event is free of charge to attend and free popcorn will be provided.
