The Mayor, administration and employees of the Township of Union participated in the annual “Wear Red Day” campaign- an initiative of the American Heart Association that encourages awareness of the issue of women and heart disease, and also action to save more lives. The movement harnesses the energy, passion and power women have to band together and collectively wipe out heart disease. The Township of Union has raised more than $200 for the American Heart Association through the Wear Red Campaign this year and has promoted the initiative through their Mayor’s Wellness Committee.
