[ARCHIVED] Great Inflatable Race and Food Truck Festival Coming to Union this May

The Mayor and Committee of the Township of Union are proud to partner with Union High School to present the Great Inflatable Race and Food Truck Festival on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at Union High school and Rabkin Park in Union.

A portion of the proceeds from the Inflatable Race, and ALL proceeds from the Food Truck Festival will go to benefit Union High School’s Project Graduation.

The event, sponsored by PSEG, will feature a fun-run featuring inflatable obstacles, live entertainment, a food truck festival, kids-zone and much more.

The first fun-run wave kicks off at 9:00 am and will continue intermittently until 11:00 am, and food trucks and entertainment will run from 11:00 am to 5:00 p.m.

Registration to run in the Inflatable Race is currently $29.99 for a regular ticket which includes a race T-shirt, wristband, temporary tattoo and race medal; and $49.99 for a VIP Ticket which includes the perks of regular admission plus a sweatband, fanny pack, admission to the Inflatable Village and food truck festival, access to the VIP packet pick up line, FREE bag check, and 10% off of all merchandise.

•The Tastey Trolley: Boardwalk-style eats meets Italian gourmet flair
•The Lab: Asian BBQ Fusion
•El Lechon de Negron: Authentic Puerto Rican Pig Roast and Cuisine
•The Empanada Guy: Specializing in Empanadas and other delicious Latin dishes
•Big John’s Gourmet Burgers: Specializing in burgers and grilled/fried chicken sandwiches
•Angry Archies: The freshest seafood with a twist
•The Rolling Dough: Mobile wood-fired pizza oven
•Suzie’s Rolling Wrappers: Gourmet Fried Wrappers
•House of Cupcakes: Cupcakes, cookies and doughnuts
Admission to the Food Truck Festival alone is $5, payable at the door.

Project Graduation is the annual alcohol, drug and tobacco free celebration for graduating seniors given on graduation night.  Activities and events are held throughout the year which create an atmosphere for the class to bond together, as well as raising funds needed to ensure that Project Graduation is a gift from a “caring community.”
