As the weather starts to break, the Township of Union will be continuing its annual “Operation Clean Sweep” program, dedicated to beautifying and maintaining the cleanliness of the Town. Registration for this year’s event will take place at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 5th at the Department of Public Works, 1 Swanstrom Pl, Union.
“What I love about this yearly event is the spirit of togetherness that we experience when we gather and work with our neighbors to maintain the vibrancy of our parks,” said Mayor Suzette Cavadas. “Not only is there a real tangible benefit to this event, but a real sense of pride in knowing that you are doing your part to ensure that our town continues to shine.”
After signing in at the Department of Public Works and obtaining your “Operation Clean Sweep” t-shirt, participants will be dispatched to different areas, identified by the department to clean the Township of littler and debris.
A picnic for all participants will be held following the cleanup at Rabkin Park beginning at 12:00p.m.
