Union Center SID kicked off the 4th Annual Union Farmers’ Market to an amazing start with face painting provided by Silly Cheeks and live music entertainment from Tru-Sol, a Jersey City male quartet.
In its 2nd year, Union Center SID has brought music to the Union Farmers’ Market starting last year with Jazz Thursday’s. This year, the Sounds promises to bring various genres of music and sound throughout the season with Rock, Jazzy Blues, Folk, Americana, R&B, Soul, Latin Jazz, and Oldies from the 60’s, 70’s and more. This year the entertainment is on a bi-weekly schedule from 4 pm to 8 pm.
Not only were Union residents and members of the surrounding communities entertained they were also treated to a staple of the Center, Magic Fountain Union Creamery, were owner Ruben Peraza brought different ice cream flavors.
The farmers’ market will be held every Thursday through Oct. 25, from 3 to 8 p.m. For a full list of vendors and entertainment, visit www.uniontwpfarmersmarket.com.
