[ARCHIVED] Union’s National Arts Month Celebration, 10/13

In recognition of National Arts and Humanities Month the Mayor and Committee of the Township of Union invite residents to participate in their 2nd Annual Arts Month Celebration On October 13th, 2018 from 2:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m.

“We know that Arts and Humanities not only provide a welcome source of entertainment for our residents, but they are a source of growth for our local economy,” said Suzette Cavadas, Mayor. We’re excited to showcase artwork from the many talented artists who live or work in town and are proud to offer some hands-on ways for the public to explore their own creativity.”

As part of the celebration, storefronts in Union Center will be fitted with enlargements of artwork from artists who live or work in the Township of Union.

In addition, residents are invited to participate in the following events:

  • An al fresco Paint and Sip (coffee) at 2:00 p.m. at Columbus Park, (Morris Ave behind Van Gogh’s Ear Café). Open to the first 30 participants, free of charge, pre-registration is encouraged.
  • A decorative sign-making workshop at 2:00 p.m. at Columbus Park, (Morris Ave behind Van Gogh’s Ear Café). Open to the first 30 participants, free of charge, pre-registration is encouraged.
  • “Miscast” a Musical Revue featuring songs from your favorite Broadway Musicals, beginning at 5:00 p.m. at Columbus Park (Morris Ave behind Van Gogh’s Ear Café). Free of charge for all Union residents.
