The Union Municipal Band, under the direction Howard Toplansky will present their first band concert of the 2018-2019 season on Monday evening, October 15, 2018. The concert will be held at Hannah Caldwell School Auditorium, 1120 Commerce Avenue, Union, NJ at 7:30 PM. Admission is free and the public is cordially invited to attend. This autumn concert will feature music from the Broadway stage, marches and overtures.
The concert will include the following selections:
The Star Spangled Banner, Sons of Australia March, The Amazon Overture, The American Rose Waltz, Pirates of Penzance, Deep River, Wild Cherries Rag and My Fair Lady highlights. “A Trumpeter’s Lullaby” featuring a Trumpet Solo by Al Defurianni will be performed in memory of Joanne Ply, a longtime member of the Union Municipal Band.
