[ARCHIVED] Grand Re-Opening of Springfield Avenue

Mayor Michele Delisfort and the Township Committee invite all residents to celebrate the Grand Re-Opening of Springfield Avenue on Friday, May 31, from 5:00-7:00 P.M. the celebration will be located in the parking lot at Joe’s Pizzeria, 2062 Springfield Ave. Union, NJ.

“The Township of Union is proud to bring the ideas and inputs of our residents to life with the Springfield Avenue Streetscape,” Mayor, Michele Delisfort. “As a Professional City Planner, I believe projects like these impact our community in such a positive way. They not only enhance the physical form, but they also impact the socioeconomic conditions in our neighborhoods. This improvement will enrich our sense of place, attract patrons to existing businesses and ensure added investment to the corridor and surrounding streets.”

The Grand Re-Opening Celebration will be filled with live music by local DJ Senseless and food will be provided by Joe’s Famous Pizzeria, Mama’s Southern Style BBQ II, and Nunzio’s Charcoal Grill.

“As a longtime resident of Vauxhall, I am in awe with the work that was done on Springfield Avenue. The Streetscape Project has satisfied the needs of our community and has re-established our thriving business district. I am excited and cannot wait to see my neighborhoods continued growth,” said Committeeman Clifton People Jr.
